Fellowship With The Godhead

Fellowship vs. Personal Relationship Series Fellowship with the Holy Spirit “Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.” Phil. 2:1-2 We can also have fellowship with the Spirit. How? Well, let’s look quickly before we close our study of fellowship with the Godhead. We are not of flesh but of the Spirit. That the Spirit dwells in us and if any one does not have the Spirit then he does not belong to Christ ( Rm. 8:9 ). 1 Cor. 3:16 lets us know we are the temple of God and the Spirit of God dwells in us. We are in communion with the Spirit ( 2 Cor. 13:14 ).  Fellowship vs. Personal Relationship Series     Fellowship with Christ "God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord." 1 Cor. 1:9                   In accordance with the definition of fellowship, can we have fellowship with Christ? Yes ( John 14:20-23 ). Again, this fellowship is contingent on you and me keeping His commandments ( John 14:21; Matt. 28:20; Heb. 5:9; 1 John 2:6 ).   Although many want to argue that it is a relationship we are to have with Christ. That phrase it neither used, nor taught in the Word. In fact something much greater and richer is. Fellowship is emphasized by Christ and reinforced in His teaching.
