Christ Like Walk

Jesus is the King and ruler over His church. (Heb. 3:4; Col. 1:18; Phil. 2:9-11; Eph. 5:22-33; Acts 20:28; Matt. 28:18-20; 16:18) Man does not control Christ's church. Man does not make the "rules" or doctrine of Christ's church. Man is not the head of Christ church. Man is not the King or authority in Christ's Kingdom.  We are His own special people, living souls, in Him. We are being built up and are the makeup of the Kingdom He has added us to. That is what Jesus died for so that in Him we would be saved and have life. ( 1 Pet. 2:5-9, 24; Rev. 1:5; Col. 2:11-33; Eph. 5:30; Gal. 3:27; 1 Cor. 12:27; Acts 2:47; John 17:20-26)  We are but servants. He is the Head, and we serve Him as God has set forth. God makes that clear in His word and we are to follow His word. ( John 1:14, 17; 8:31-32; 12:48-50; 14:1-6, 26; 15:7, 9-10, 26; Gal. 1:1-10; 2 Tim. 3:16-17) God's own servants say they are but servants.  We often see just the sins of people. We see their sins ripple effects of pain and heartache impact others. We shake our heads or cross the street to avoid their presence.  When we know our own dark thoughts. The chains that bind our dreams in darkness. The weights that burden our hearts. The hurts and pains that plague our lives. Those are different right? We are different than that other person. At least we don't (fill in the blank) when we hurt or our ripple effects are different.  Careful lest we say, " ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other men—extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector. ‘I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess.’ (Luke 18:11-12).  We know not what weaknesses others survive and overcome just to have their feet hit the floor when the sun rises. We know not the burdens and self-talk that plague their lives. We know not what holes are in their hearts that are keeping them from being whole.  Let us be...
